Please sit still 5

The works point to the nature of our restless minds and is an invitation for us to slow down and find more presence. Our constant desire for stimulation along with the many distractions around us is depicted by the movement in the works, while the regular order of the smaller circles directs us to a place of stillness, calm and presence that I would like to encourage us to seek.

In this painting the white dots serve as anchors for presence, while the irregularity of the outer white circles, the geomteric lines and the little polygons floatin inside the lines point to the distractions within and outside our minds. The white dots and circles are actually negative space and not white paint.
